This week, students and staff at NWTI got to hear from James Peterson of Advanced Technology Consultants (ATC). He also led a hands-on demonstration of the UR3.

The industry calls the UR3 a "collaborative robot." It moves more slowly and is considered safer than its counterparts. James selected 4 students from our Electronics and Automation Technology class to program the robot arm and test their completed work.

Just before the Weekend Welding! It looks like a mini field trip for NWTI's welding class today. But since they're dealing with acetylene torch training and tanks, the safest place to do that is outside of the "Byrd Welding Center!"

Today was Fall 2025 New Student Orientation Day!

If we were issuing tickets, this event would've been SRO (standing room only). Our new school president, David Patty, led off the morning with a short welcome, and then it was straight to the matter at hand.

Since we brought everyone in pretty early, we made sure they had plenty of Mazzio's Pizza to eat before they left. Judging by the mountain of empty boxes, that gesture went over pretty well.
