Today was Fall 2025 New Student Orientation Day!

If we were issuing tickets, this event would've been SRO (standing room only). Our new school president, David Patty, led off the morning with a short welcome, and then it was straight to the matter at hand.

Since we brought everyone in pretty early, we made sure they had plenty of Mazzio's Pizza to eat before they left. Judging by the mountain of empty boxes, that gesture went over pretty well.

CONGRATULATIONS to Instructor Molly Colorado's latest Information Services/IT graduating class! We'll see you all this Thursday at Springdale High for the graduation ceremony. David Patty is a seasoned professional with a career focused on automation systems and technical training. Prior to his tenure at the Schwan's Company in Stillwell, OK., David dedicated over two decades of his career to Tyson Foods from May 2001 to June 2023. He held the position of Associate Director of Maintenance Training from 2017 to 2023. His responsibilities included overseeing maintenance training programs. Mike Rogers, Chief Workforce Officer for the State of Arkansas, had this to say, “the State of Arkansas is eager to see NWTI, under David's expertise, enhance short-term training for industrial maintenance, refrigeration, boilers, and automation. There are strong, viable technical diploma programs and other training underway. Just in time, as prescriptive industrial training will respond to the immediate needs of industry.” David's extensive experience at Tyson Foods underscores his expertise in maintenance and technical training.
