As an ST you'll be responsible for 3 phases of surgical case management: pre-operative, intra-operative and post-operative. WHY ARE WE YOUR BEST CHOICE?

Our Surgical Technology program strives to provide the highest standard of healthcare education. This ensures quality patient care for our community. NWTI provides employers with skilled personnel immediately ready to practice surgical technology. Students in this field possess the knowledge required to take and pass the national certification test PRIOR to graduation.

We KNOW that every individual is unique, and that it is our responsibility to help our students fulfill their individual accountability to themselves and our community. There are two points of emphasis: one teaches you how to earn a living; and the other teaches you how to live. We subscribe to the belief that technical education is an essential part of both. A strong work ethic is one of our best means of developing your intelligent use of hands and mind.

The patient is the central focus of our care. Our biggest goal is to teach you to respect the confidentiality, privacy and dignity of each individual, while providing care and a safe environment for the patient.

You will demonstrate proficient technical skills prior to entering into a clinical rotation.  Successful completion of the program means that all of the program objectives have been met. Students should attain the competence requirements to be ready for national certification by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting.
