Allied Health Testing Center

General Information

The Allied Health Testing Center is located in the Administration Building at Northwest Technical Institute. A total of six computers are available for testing.


Allied Health Testing Center Notice

The Allied Health Testing Center is located in the office of the Allied Health secretary.   The Allied Health Department will make every attempt to ensure that the Center is open for student testing, there may be instances where the Center will be closed. Advance notice of closing will be posted on the outside of the Allied Health Nursing Testing Center.  Please call the Allied Health Secretary at 479 751 8824 extension 116 to insure the testing site is open and available.  


Testing Hours

The Allied Health Testing Center is open Monday-Friday from 8 a.m.-11 a.m. and from 1 p.m.-3 p.m.  Computer availability is based on a first come, first serve basis. Appointments are not accepted at this time. Hours may vary during holidays and school breaks. 


Wonderlic Exam

The Wonderlic exam is part of Northwest Technical Institute’s admissions and registration process for entrance into the Surgical Technology and Licensed Practical Nursing programs.  NTI students take preference over all other Wonderlic exam takers.  Students interested in the Surgical Technology and Licensed Practical Nursing programs are also required to take the COMPASS exam.  The COMPASS exam is administered through the COMPASS Testing Center located in the Student Services Office in the Administration Building at NTI.


A fee of $15.00 is assessed before taking the Wonderlic exam at NTI.   Forms of payment include
check, cash, money order, or debit/credit card. The Wonderlic exam can only be taken once per academic year. 


The Wonderlic exam is a timed 12 minute, 50 multiple choice questions computer-based admission and placement assessment. Once the test taker has completed the Wonderlic exam, the results are tallied electronically and the student will be given a copy of the results.  For potential NTI students, the Allied Health secretary will keep a copy in the student’s file.  Extra copies of the exam will result in an additional $5.00 charge.


Allied Health Testing Rules 

Test takers are required to show a photo ID before taking the exam. NTI will provide paper, pencils, and calculator. Students are not allowed to use their own calculator on the test. Cell phones and personal calculators are not prohibited in the testing room.
